Baltimore, MD – Ellin & Tucker, the Baltimore-based public accounting and business consulting firm, announced today that David R. Bogus, ASA has been appointed to director within the firm’s Forensic and Valuation Services Group. In his new leadership role, David’s extensive portfolio and breadth of expertise will be instrumental in educating the next generation of professionals and securing Ellin & Tucker’s place amongst the top-rated forensic, business valuation and litigation service firms in the region.

Bogus’ experience in business valuation spans more than 15 years. He has performed valuations in various areas of business valuation including ESOP transaction, administration and compliance, various areas of litigation support, intangible assets and intellectual property, financial reporting, estate and gift tax, buy-sell agreements, mergers and acquisitions, professional practice valuations, and private debt and equity placements. Bogus has also worked extensively with middle market companies in areas related to exit strategy and/or succession planning and has experience in developing long-term business plans designed to maximize value accumulation for shareholders.
Bogus received a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Resource Management from Penn State University in University Park, Pennsylvania and a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from Lehigh University, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. He is a member of the ESOP Association Executive Committee (Mid-Atlantic Chapter) and also an active member of The National Center for Employee Ownership. He speaks frequently at various ESOP-related conferences and is the author of several articles related to ESOP valuation. Bogus is also Co-Chair of the Business Valuation Committee and President of the Washington, D.C. Metro Area Chapter of the American Society of Appraisers.
