Baltimore, Md – Ellin & Tucker, the Baltimore-based public accounting and business consulting firm, announced today that Jared A. Rosen, CPA, MBA, principal in the accounting and auditing group at Ellin & Tucker, has been appointed as a member of Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants’ (MACPA) Peer Review Committee.
Founded in 1901, MACPA is a statewide, professional membership organization representing nearly 10,000 Maryland CPAs in practice, industry, government and education. MACPA is responsible for administering the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ (AICPA) peer review program in the state of Maryland. The AICPA peer review program requires CPAs to have a rigorous, outside review of their accounting and audit practice once every three years. As a member of the Peer Review Committee, Rosen will work with committee members to oversee the peer reviews administered by the MACPA, which ensures that professionals achieve the highest level of integrity and adhere to professional standards. Rosen has been an active MACPA member since 2003.
A graduate of the University of Madison-Wisconsin and Loyola University Maryland, Rosen has over 15 years of experience in the public accounting profession, providing financial reporting, tax, compliance and management advisory services to numerous industries. Rosen specializes in in employee benefit plan services and is a leader of the firm’s Employee Benefit Plan Services Group. Additionally, he is a member of Ellin & Tucker’s Audit and Accounting Technical Standards Committee, which oversees programs that maintain the firm’s extensive knowledge of current accounting and financial reporting standards and ensures compliance with professional standards governed by the AICPA and the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB).
