Baltimore, Md. – Ellin & Tucker, the Baltimore-based public accounting and business consulting firm, announced today that Aileen Eskildsen, CPA, a director and professional development coordinator with the firm, has been named one of The Daily Record’s Top 100 Women.
“Being named one of Maryland’s Top 100 Women is a great honor and is empowering,” said Eskildsen. “There are so many inspirational women that are doing remarkable work every day to push our community forward and I feel privileged to be acknowledged.”
The Top 100 Women program was launched in 1996 to recognize outstanding female leaders who are not only leading the way professionally, but are also dedicating their time and energy to community work and mentoring.
Eskildsen has demonstrated professional excellence, a commitment to the community and a commitment to mentoring both women and the next generation. She is an active member of Network2000, a Baltimore-based, invitation-only organization dedicated to championing and promoting the advancement of women within their chosen fields; she serves on advisory boards at both Towson University and Loyola University; she helped form and actively sits on the board of trustees for The Legacy School, which serves children with dyslexia and other leaning disabilities; and she serves as the board treasurer of her homeowners association.
Eskildsen began her career at Ellin & Tucker nearly 20 years ago. In 2008, she established and created the role of professional development coordinator, which oversees the career development of Ellin & Tucker’s professionals. She also directs the firm’s recruiting committee, which focuses on recruiting accounting professionals from area universities.
The 20th annual awards ceremony will be held May 4 at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. For more information about The Daily Record’s 2015 Maryland’s Top 100 Women, visit www.TheDailyRecord.com.
