Baltimore, Md. – Ellin & Tucker, the Baltimore-based public accounting and business consulting firm, announced today that Zachary A. Reichenbach, CFA, CPA/ABV, a leader in the firm’s forensic and valuation services group, was the recipient of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountant’s (AICPA) 2016 Standing Ovation Award. Reichenbach and his fellow award recipients were honored at the AICPA 2016 Forensic & Valuation Services (FVS) Conference in Nashville, Tennessee on November 7, 2016.
“The young professionals honored this year have demonstrated significant accomplishments in the areas of forensic accounting and business valuation,” stated Jeannette Koger, AICPA’s vice president of member specialization and credentialing. “The AICPA’s Standing Ovation program was developed to identify those CPAs who are rising stars in the accounting profession, particularly in their area of specialization.”
The AICPA’s Standing Ovation Program recognizes CPAs between the ages of 25 and 40 who exhibit exemplary professional achievement and industry contribution in one or more of the following areas: business valuation, forensic accounting, information management and technology assurance or personal financial planning. Requirements for nomination to the Standing Ovation program for the FVS specialty area include maintaining an active CPA license, being an AICPA member in good standing, and holding either a Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) or Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) specialty credential. A complete list of 2016 FVS Standing Ovation recipients may be found on the AICPA website.
“Over the past eight years, Zach has established himself as a well-respected member of the firm’s FVS team,” says Edwin Brake, managing director of Ellin & Tucker. “We are very proud of Zach’s recognition and his continued commitment and contributions to the accounting industry and community.”
As a member of Ellin & Tucker’s Forensic & Valuation Services Group, Reichenbach performs a variety of business valuations, forensic and litigation services to a diverse range of clients. He is a member of the AICPA (accredited in business valuation) and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA) where he serves on the New Young Professional Network Task Force and Forensic and Valuation Section committees.
