Travis Klein Joins Baltimore Museum of Industry Board of Trustees

Ellin & Tucker is pleased to share that Travis Klein, director in the firm’s tax department, has been appointed to the Board of Trustees for the Baltimore Museum of Industry (BMI). The museum specializes in interpreting the diverse and significant human stories behind labor and innovation in Baltimore, cultivating a sense of belonging and inspiring visitors to think critically about the intersection of work and society.
“Meeting with trustees and staff members of the museum,” said Klein, “it is inspiring to be surrounded by people that deeply care about Baltimore and its rich history. I’m looking forward to working alongside board members to continue to uplift workers’ stories of industry and innovation so that we can preserve history while looking to the future.”
Klein is especially passionate about the museum’s current efforts in response to the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in 2024. He believes as the city rebuilds, now is an important time to support the BMI as they work on “Echoes from the Key Bridge,” a project to preserve the stories of workers who have been impacted by the bridge collapse. Ellin & Tucker has been a longtime supporter of the BMI. Previously, another director at the firm, Bryan Porter, served as a BMI board member from 2017 until this year. And prior to that, Streett Baldwin, also a director at the firm, served as a board member for nearly a decade and also served as board chair.
Klein, in addition to his new BMI board appointment, is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA).
As we approach 80 years, Ellin & Tucker remains firmly in the room, driven by a legacy of excellence in teamwork, leadership, and service. Our strength has always been in our people, and together, we’ll continue to stand with the next generation of difference-makers and leaders, ready to shape the future.
