Don’t Miss Out: Maryland’s Filing Fee Waiver Deadline Approaching

Maryland businesses have an important deadline this month. If your organization is registered with the state of Maryland and offers employees access to a qualifying retirement plan, such as a 401(k), 403(b), or SIMPLE IRA, you may be eligible for a waiver of the $300 SDAT Annual Report Filing Fee for the 2026 filing year.
But beware: The waiver isn’t automatic. Eligible businesses must submit an application each year through Maryland Saves, and the window for the 2026 waiver is closing on December 31, 2025. To claim the waiver, visit the Maryland Saves website and complete the short online form.
Your application must be submitted by this deadline to secure the fee waiver for the upcoming year.
If you think your business qualifies—or if you’re unsure—it’s worth taking a moment to apply. Saving $300 is always good news, and the process is quick, straightforward, and entirely online.
Don’t wait until the last minute. Get your application in now and take advantage of this valuable benefit for Maryland employers.
