Congratulations to Jayla Prince, Ellin & Tucker’s Newest CPA!

At Ellin & Tucker, we love to celebrate the accomplishments of our team members, which is why we are happy to share that Jayla Prince, an associate in the firm’s audit and accounting department, has passed all four parts of the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam and is now a licensed CPA. Way to go, Jayla!

Jayla has come a long way since her days as an Ellin & Tucker intern in the summer of 2017, participating in six different firm internship programs along the way. After graduating from Towson University with her bachelor’s degree in accounting, she joined the firm full time and shortly after, continued her professional education by receiving her Masters in Accounting and Business Advisory Services, also from Towson University.

But for Jayla, the studying didn’t stop there. She hit the books in preparation for the CPA exam, thankful for Ellin & Tucker’s ongoing support in balancing her work responsibilities and studying for the exam. “E&T provides their employees with the encouragement and resources they need to succeed, and the CPA exam is no different,” says Jayla. “In the days leading up to the (CPA) exam, Ellin & Tucker employees are given a day off that they can use to prepare however they need to whether it’s extra studying or taking the time to mentally rest and clear your head – like I did.” Jayla’s biggest piece of advice to future CPA’s preparing for the exam is to believe in yourself, saying that a positive mindset makes all the difference.
