We are delighted to announce that Zachary (Zach) Bromwell has been promoted to director in Ellin & Tucker’s audit and accounting department. Along with this significant promotion, he has also earned his Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) professional certification from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. CFE’s discover and prevent fraudulent activity, and the certification signifies expertise and the uttermost professionalism in high-stakes accounting.

A Baltimore native, Zach started at Ellin & Tucker as an intern in the summer of 2009 while attending Loyola University Maryland’s Sellinger School of Business and Management and after graduating, he joined Ellin & Tucker full-time. Since then, he has played a key role in establishing and maintaining the firm’s solid reputation as a professional services leader in the construction, wholesale distribution, government contracting, manufacturing, commercial real estate, and the employee benefit plan audit sectors. In his nearly 15 years with Ellin & Tucker, he’s embodied the firm’s commitment to excellent client service, and provided unwavering supportive and deliberate guidance to his clients. As a valued member of the team, Zach has also embraced a leadership role within the audit and accounting group.

Zach has also exhibited his leadership skills through his senior role in the firm’s Audit and Accounting Technical Standards Committee, which oversees programs that maintain the professional staff’s understanding of, and compliance with, current accounting, financial reporting, and professional standards. He also serves as a captain in the firm’s Professional Standards and Quality Control Department, where he uses his expertise to ensure that each engagement is performed with the utmost integrity and in accordance with regulatory requirements and professional standards.

Zach says he was motivated to earn his CFE credential to help him continue to meet the needs of the firm’s clients in today’s evolving world. “Our team takes pride in being able to serve as a true partner to our clients,” said Bromwell. “That includes being able to provide guidance when a client faces obstacles like fraud. Having been involved in our client’s previous forensic projects, I felt it was important to further expand our expertise in this area.”

Ellin & Tucker is proud to be a part of Zach’s professional journey, and we look forward to watching him thrive in his new leadership role. Congrats Zach!
