Ellin & Tucker’s Giving Back Committee Continues Community Support

The Baltimore not-for-profit community is filled with incredible organizations, each one doing its part to make the city and its surrounding region a better place. Ellin & Tucker’s Giving Back Committee (GBC) provides the firm’s team members with opportunities throughout the year to support these organizations and their efforts. Recently, the GBC partnered with the Maryland SPCA (MD SPCA) and the National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI) Metropolitan Baltimore.

Throughout busy season, the GBC hosted a bracket-style tournament similar to March Madness where employee pets had the chance to compete for the title of “Cutest Pet” while raising funds for MD SPCA. Throughout the competition, our employees got the chance to learn about each other’s pets and the important work that the MD SPCA does to improve the lives of thousands of animals and people in and around Baltimore. After a fierce and friendly competition, Sparrow the one-eyed rescue cat came out on top!

Then, in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, the GBC partnered with NAMI to host a mental health workshop for E&T team members. NAMI works to raise awareness and provide mental health education, advocacy, and support programs for peers and families in the Baltimore region. The event kicked off with a presentation from NAMI volunteers who shared their experiences as people living with mental illnesses. After the impactful presentation, team members participated in a workshop where they practiced stress-relieving activities. Donations came from ticket sales as well as employee contributions.

Ellin & Tucker is proud to support the Maryland SPCA and National Alliance of Mental Illness Metropolitan Baltimore and all the incredible work that they do. We encourage everyone to take time to learn about both of these not-for-profit organizations and how you can support their missions.
