Ellin & Tucker is pleased to announce that Renee Collins, principal in the firm’s audit and accounting department, has been awarded the Maryland Association of CPA’s (MACPA) Women to Watch “Emerging Leader” award.
Launched in 2014 by the American Institute of CPAs, the “Emerging Leader” award is presented to women in the CPA profession with notable community service efforts, leadership abilities, creation and implementation of unique initiatives and contributions to the accounting profession, and active involvement with their alma mater. We couldn’t imagine a more fitting honoree than Renee.
Her dedication to the accounting industry and the community is exemplified through her many active roles including MACPA, the Executive Committee of the Accounting Advisory Board at Towson University, St. Paul Catholic Church, and its Finance Council, Finance Committee of Resurrection-St. Paul School and involvement in the firm’s community service efforts.
As an integral leader in the firm, Renee has played a large hand in developing the firm’s employee benefit plan practice in recent years and also uses her industry knowledge to serve on the firm’s accounting standards board. She simultaneously mentors younger firm members, leads client engagements, and actively educates firm members on industry standard updates. Her commitment to her career is only parallel to her dedication as a mother, truly making Renee a “Woman to Watch.” Congratulations, Renee!
