A lot of hard work, focus, and commitment goes into passing the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam. No one knows this better than Ellin & Tucker’s Roy Fielder, who recently passed all four parts of the exam and is now a licensed CPA. And he did all of this while working full-time and keeping up with the responsibilities of being a new dad as well. Way to go, Roy!
A Maryland native, Roy grew up in Severna Park, Maryland and graduated from Towson University in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting. After graduation, Roy worked for a small, New Jersey-based CPA firm, returning to Maryland in 2018 and joining the Ellin & Tucker team. In 2021, Roy received his master’s degree in Accounting and Advisory Services as part of a joint program between Towson University and University of Baltimore.
At Ellin & Tucker, we are each other’s biggest cheerleaders. Our team takes pride in supporting one another on both a personal and professional level. “One of the things I love most about Ellin & Tucker is how much we all care for one another,” Roy said. “Whether it was offering advice, encouragement, or just a laugh, my teammates were there for me throughout the whole process.” For any CPA candidate ready to take the next step, Roy offers one piece of very wise advice: take it one step, or exam, at a time.
Everyone at Ellin & Tucker congratulates Roy on reaching this significant professional milestone!
