Building a Better Baltimore: E&T’s Giving Back Committee Returns to In-Person Events

June 29, 2021

From internal fundraisers to donation drives, Ellin & Tucker’s Giving Back Committee (GBC) worked hard to find creative ways to lend a “socially distant” hand during the pandemic and continued to support some of Baltimore’s charitable organizations. Now, as health restrictions are being lifted and businesses are reopening, our committee members have been eager to come together and work side-by-side with the organizations in our community that are doing their part to help make the city stronger. The GBC hosted three recent in-person volunteer events with three impactful organizations: Baltimore Green Space, Moveable Feast, and Civic Works.

At the end of April, E&T’s GBC team members spent the morning volunteering with Baltimore Green Space at the Duncan Street Miracle Garden. They got their hands dirty pulling weeds, cleaning up debris, and using their green thumbs to help with the upkeep of this vital community space.

In early June, the GBC was thrilled to be the first volunteer group back in the Moveable Feast kitchen. Our team members worked together to package and prepare a whopping 2,769 nutritious meals. These meals were delivered to members of our community who are fighting a range of chronic illnesses.

The GBC also partnered with Civic Work’s Community Lot Program for a service day in June. During the event, volunteers weeded and raised garden beds to help transform one of the program’s vacant lots in Baltimore’s Upton neighborhood. We had a beautiful day filled with sunshine and community service.

At E&T, we know there is strength in numbers, which is why we’re so grateful to partner with these incredible organizations and have the opportunity to come together as a team and lend a hand. We encourage you to visit each organization’s website to learn how you can support their unique goals and help make a difference in the community.
