Becoming a licensed Certified Public Account (CPA) is not only a professional achievement, but a personal accomplishment that’s worth celebrating. With that, a round of applause is in order for Nhu Do, a Senior Associate in Ellin & Tucker’s Tax Department, for passing all four parts of the CPA exam and receiving her CPA designation.
Born in Vietnam, Nhu’s family immigrated to Bel Air, Maryland when she was nine years old. She was first introduced to Ellin & Tucker while pursuing her Bachelor’s degree at Towson University. During her junior year, she received the Ellin & Tucker Scholarship, which is awarded to a student majoring in accounting. Nhu went on to participate in Ellin & Tucker’s winter internship program and joined the firm full-time after graduating in 2018.
Nhu took comfort in the support and guidance from her Ellin & Tucker team throughout her CPA exam journey. “One time, Bryan Porter led a ‘lunch and learn’ for everyone taking the exam where he walked us through real life examples of (CPA) exam materials. It was super helpful!” Nhu said. “Our team takes a real interest in supporting one another.” When it comes to tips for passing the CPA exam, she says keep your eye on the prize and stay focused. All the hard work will pay off!
Everyone at Ellin & Tucker would like to congratulate Nhu on her CPA exam success. We look forward to watching her continue to shine as a valued member of our team.
